Without You : Chapter 6
"Oh my God! A party!" Nic said with surprise.
"Happy Birthday Nicole!" Laur said.
"Wow!" Nic said. "Were all of you in on this?"
"We all had a part," Lesie told her.
"Really?" Nic said sarcasticly.
"We all know your little secret Nic!" Char bragged.
"What secret? Laur? Did you...?" Nic asked.
"We all know about the two of you being a couple!" Laur exclaimed, and shot Nic an I'd never tell look.
"Oh!" Nic said brightly. Then they all sat down at the table and got some food. They got out the presents after the cake. Nic got a new Basketball from Brian, Kevin, and Howie, since the guys had seen her old ratty basketball. AJ and Lea got her a CD of Aaron Carter. Lesie and Char got her a new stuffed dog. Laur got her a peace frog t-shirt and bumper-sticker. Nick got her a diamond tennis bracelet.
"Wow! Thanks you guys! This is the best birthday ever!"
"It's not over yet!" Nick said and led her out front. In the driveway was a brand new green Rav4. Nic started to scream.
"It's a gift from all 9 of us. We all chipped in a bought you one!" Laur told her over excited sister. Nic went and hugged everyone. She had never been happier.

That evening, around 10, the girls were in the den watching TV. Nic was hugging her new stuffed dog, Lucky. They were looking back on the past 5 days. All the girls were so happy to have boyfriends, when Lauren recalls that she was never asked!
"I wonder why Brian never asked you Laur?" Lea pondered.
"He's probably waiting for your birthday!" Nic said, trying to cheer her beloved sis up.
"Yeah, maybe," Laur sulked. "I'm going to bed!"
"Ok, night sis!" Nic said.
"Good-night," Laur mumbled.
When Laur got to her room she heard Brian across the yard, mumbling. She layed down under her window to listen.
"Man I wish I could have asked Lauren tonight! Why do I have to wait for her birthday? I don't, but I think it would be more romantic. We're all leaving on the 14th, and comming back on the 21st. Why do we have to leave. What if the girls don't want to? Why wouldn't they? It's a break for a week! Oh well, I'm going to sleep, and stop talking to myself. I wish Laur was in her room so I could talk to her. LAUR! You in there?" Laur crawled over to the other side of the room, and got up. She walked over to the window.
"What is it B?" she said, trying to sound asleep.
"Did I wake you?" he asked.
"Yes! Now I'm going back to sleep!" She blew him a kiss and went to bed.
"Night Laur!" He called.

It was the 13th. They guys had come over and everyone was sitting in the den. Kevin stood up and started to speak.
"Girls, we've planned a trip! We're leaving tomorrow and coming back on the 21st! We're going to-" Kevin was cut off by Laur.
"Going to leave us for a week!" Laur yelled.
"No, we're going to take you with us to Paris!" Brian corrected.
"PARIS!!" All the girls shouted. "We can't pack in time!" Laur said
"Sure you can, the tickets are bought, 10 first class tickets, the plane leaves at 4:30pm. You have from now till 4 to pack! Get busy!" They guys left so the girls could pack. Before Brian left he whispered to Laur, "You'll have a great birthday!" Laur lit up when he said that. Having her birthday in Paris! Wow!
Laur went to pack. She got out day clothes, dress clothes, casual dresses, and lots of t-shirts and shorts. She was really hyped about this trip. She packed just about 7 pairs of shoes, and tons of make-up. It took her the entire amont of time to pack. At 3:45 the guys came over to start loading the cars up. Laur finished her last minute packing, and gave Brian her suitcase. He told her how they got two 5 bedroom suites, and 5 sets of 2 first-class seats on the plane. This was going to be great!
